Hua Hin/Cha-Am

Kaeng Krachan National Park
This is Thailand's largest National Park and is located just 50 kilometres northwest of Cha-am. The park extends towards the Burmese border to the west, and is characterised by a topography of forested hills, mountains, and waterways. It is almost entirely covered with evergreen forest, which supports ecologically, economically and scientifically valuable plants and animals, including many wild elephants. The major focal point of the park is the Kaeng Krachan Dam. This dam is a 58 metre high and 760 metre long structure that dominates a scenic reservoir.
